Aloha from Tony So "THE Hawaii DJ"

Aloha Everyone!   It's very nice to keep on pressing forward despite all the negative forecast with our Economy.   Look around?   Are we really hurting?   Maybe?   It really all depends where we are in our Life... at this point.    Are you a College Student building on your Education or a New Parent who is just starting a family and working on your career to build your reputation or business?   For some this all new to them.   The United States of America Enjoyed the dot com boom and the computer age that carried America for almost two decade.   Now that the bubble has bursted it's time to get back to work. or sing that song by soul 2 soul...  Back To Life, Back to Reality.   The virtual world of investment has finally caught up with everyone.   The 401K that made  us believe we were set and that we have so much saved is just like the computer term  "Virtual Ram"    It was a way graphic artist in the early 90's tricks computers to believe that it had more random access memory (RAM) available to use.   The old term in the business was "Ram Doubler"   The problem with this was it would sometimes crash the computer system if you got too greedy.   Sound familiar?   When you have big shots, acting like they own the company that really belongs to the public, you learn at the end they're not so smart after all.   The best advice I can give is to keep still and listen and observe the market.   If you slow down you'll see things much better.   Don't panic.   It's just a season.   If you own a home and you're drowning in that loan, it's time to pull off your exit plan.   Don't hold on to something that is a liability to your health and finances.   Get rid of it.    If you can sell it good.  If not, accept the consequences.    Give it back and start renting.   There's no better feeling to know that you can move anywhere you want and you're not obligated to stay for at least 30 years.   If you still don't want to let go of the American Dream Home, you have to refocus.   Start saving again.   Save as if you have a mortgage.   Use that money to have your kids make the home purchase for their future.   This is a better way to build your foundation for your children.   The moment you become a parent your whole world is no longer yours.   It's all about your Kiddies as I would say.   I don't know why I was compelled to share this thought, but I hope you find some truth in what I am expressing.

O.K.  Now let's get back to Weddings.   I realize that Wedding Receptions are the first memory that a Bride and Groom will share together for the rest of their lives.   This is also the first memories that both sides of the family will have in common as well.   That is why it is important that you have the right team to orchestrate the perfect wedding reception.   It's nice to know that there are professionals that really make a difference in Hawaii.   Choose your professionals wisely.   Make sure they match your personality.   If you want the best, you simply should expect to pay their price.   If you can afford to hire the best in the business you won't be disappointed.   In Hawaii I specialize in Weddings as a Disc Jockey and Master of Ceremonies.   I also help Bride and Grooms plan their timeline to ensure a smooth flow during the wedding reception.   It makes life easier for all of us in the business.   The staff at all hotels appreciate the timelines I submit to the head banquet captain.    The timeline is also very helpful for Photographers, Videographers and Other Venders who rely on timing to ensure quality and freshness like the Wedding Cake.  Yummy!

I recently did a Wedding Reception where it was almost a total disaster!   But, I was able to get everyone to cooperate and focus on the main goal. If you were there you would of cried.   Not my fault!   No ones fault.  It was Mother Nature at her best.   She just decided to test the Bride and Grooms Patience.   It also tested the staff's patience as well.   I will not go in to detail what happened, but it was unreal.    I watched a very disappointed Groom yell at the staff at the hotel, because no one saved the Wedding Cake!   Let Me make this clear.   This was no ones fault.   Trust Me.   This was just a WOW situation.   If I told this story, no one would believe Me.   Besides the Bride and Groom;  Only a photographer, hotel staff and the guest would ever know about this incident.    I realize I had to step in even though I was risking my head being chewed off!   The photographer was next to me when I pulled the groom aside and boldly told him that his wedding was not ruined, despite the obvious.   It was bad!  But I truly believed that I could still pull of the best Wedding Reception of their lives.   I was talking about the guest experience.   I had only one chance to get them on my good side and continue the celebration.   How could I let them forget what had just happened?   My focus kicked in and the hotel allowed me to work with them to be proactive and get the Bride and Groom from Pissed to Pleased.    The Bride and Groom allowed me to make some calls with the Hotel Staff, and they agreed to the plans that we had set for them to ensure this Wedding Reception was going to be a success.    To make a long story short.   At the end of the night.   The Bride and Groom were so pleased with all our efforts they had no problem paying the remaining balance that was owed to the Hotel.   Not like it was the Hotel's fault, but most who are not happy usually will not pay.   They would challenge and dispute and demand a discount!   I'm I right?   The Groom approached me and told me what I did will go a very long way.   The Hotel's Management approached me and informed me that upper management appreciated my attitude and determination to keep their client happy despite the fact that it really wasn't my job to handle the situation regarding the condition and outcome of the situation.   I realize that, but when a fellow professional is down and really could not do anything, I felt it was my job to support them and help them to turn the tide on the situation.   I was very impressed with the Hotel's willingness to help me help them make this wrong, right.   We did it!   I know I will have friends at this Hotel forever.  Because the experience we shared, no one will believe.   Even the Bride and Groom couldn't believe it.   When The Bride and Groom did their Thank You Speech, they admitted they were having a great time with friends and family.  Not once did they mention what happened earlier in the day.  It was like it never happened.   Mission accomplished.   That was my end result that I was hoping to achieve.   I'm sure they will never forget what happened, but they will remember they had the best time of their life Partying with "THE DJ", Friends and Family.   Memories that will last a Life Time!!  They will Laugh and Remember They had the time of their Life.   That's a 100% Guarantee!

To all that have been there to support me in the Wedding Business.   Thank You.   Just knowing you appreciate me does wonders for me.   I really appreciate those who believe I can make a big difference at Weddings.   Thank You So So Much.   You Make Me Always want to do even better.    See You Very Soon.   Blessings.   Tony So
